Enabling Cookies

You may not realize this, but cookies are not always such a bad thing as the security software vendors would have you believe. There are many types of functions for which cookies are used that are not harmful in any way. Granted, some companies use cookies to figure out the type of advertising to deliver to you, but there are many good uses. For example:

• Cookies allow some shopping carts to work properly.
• Cookies allow log-in sites to keep you logged in.
